Paper Plate Bunny Basket Craft
Learn how to transform a paper plate into an adorable Easter Bunny basket, with this simple craft tutorial.

Easter Bunny Paper Plate Basket
I found the idea for this paper plate Easter basket craft on Pinterest, but it was just one single photo and no instructions how to make it. So I asked my middle daughter (who is an avid crafter) if she wanted to help me figure out how to make it.
We spent the afternoon together trying different prototypes until we came up with the winner. It’s actually really easy to assemble!
This cute little bunny basket would be perfect for kids to make as a gift for teachers, relatives, and friends. It is just the right size to hold a little candy, gift cards, etc.
I’ve included a video tutorial later in the post, as well as a photo showing the FOLD and CUT lines on the plate, so you can easily recreate this project at home. Hope you love making it as much as we did!

Prep Tips
- Plates – We used 9-inch paper plates for this craft. Smaller sized plates will make a tiny bunny basket. For this craft you don’t want to use the extra thick and durable paper plates because they will be more difficult to fold. In this case, a flimsy paper plate is probably the best option.
- Glue – If making this craft with kids, glue stick is probably the safest option. Tape also works well to hold the paper plate together. Grown-ups could also use a hot glue gun to assemble and secure the plates.
