Thrifty & Chic Easter Decor with JCPenney

If you’ve followed us for a while, you might have noticed that we shop at JCPenney a lot!

I remember going to JCPenney regularly as a kid, and I re-discovered their awesomeness a couple years ago. Now I’m hooked!

Not only does JCPenney offer amazing sales (click here to see how much we saved on back to school clothes), but we can find pretty much anything we need all in one place. Clothing, shoes, home goods, holiday decor, gift ideas – you name it!

Since my husband loves to cook, our home is usually the go-to spot for family holiday gatherings. My talent is not in the kitchen, so my job is to clean, decorate, and get our home company-ready.

Last year I found some absolutely adorable Easter goodies from JCPenney, so of course this year I had to stop in and see what’s new this season!

My planned spending limit was $75, but I actually came in under budget!

We collect Fiesta dinnerware (available at JCPenney), so we set the table with bright Easter-colored plates and silverware. The glasses are antiques that have been in the family for decades.

What I needed was the perfect table runner and centerpieces to bring it all together, and JCPenney totally came through for me!

My Easter decor haul from JCPenney:

  • Multi-colored table runner (50% off)
  • Turquoise metal truck with bunny (50% off)
  • Metal Easter egg stands to tuck into my fresh flower arrangement (50% off each)
  • Jelly beans (for my little sidekick)

I snagged all of the above Easter decor items for right around $50. A table runner alone would cost at least that much from a fancy home goods store!

While I was at JCPenney, I also found Easter dresses for both girls – only $12 each!

Easy Folded Bunny Napkins

These easy folded bunny napkins look super cute on your Easter table! It’s a clever way to make your decor pop without spending a lot of money – cloth napkins aren’t pricey and they’re reusable.

How to fold cloth napkins to look like Easter bunnies

We already had plenty of cloth napkins on hand, but JCPenney has a selection of different colors and textures in their home department if you need to pick up a set for the holidays.

Keep reading below for photo step-by-step instructions to fold Easter bunny napkins.

How to fold bunny napkins:

Start with clean, starched cloth napkins. Fold in half to form a triangle.

Fold the bottom of the napkin upwards, about 1 1/2 inches. Fold up again.

Take one side and fold upwards diagonally, across the middle of the napkin. You want about 2-3 inches to stick out past the main part of the napkin.

Fold the other side the same way.

Fold both sides towards the middle, pinching between your fingers so you can slide the napkin into a glass.

Adjust the bunny napkins as needed so ears are perky and straight.
