- Place the pan in the fridge for 2 hours, or until set, before cutting into 1-inch or 2-inch pieces.
Prep Tips
- Yield – When using an 8-inch square pan, this recipe will yield 16 (2-inch) squares pieces.
- Storage – While it is not necessary to store your homemade fudge in the fridge, it will keep for up to 2 weeks in the refrigerator in an airtight container. You can also place the fudge in a freezer bag and freeze for up to 3 months.
- Chocolate – Since there are only two ingredients to this recipe, I recommend using good quality chocolate because you will really taste the difference!
- Caramel – If you don’t have dulce de leche on hand, you can substitute 1 for 1 with caramel sauce. Be sure to use real caramel sauce in the jar, not caramel syrup.
- Variations –ย For an extra treat, add a sprinkle of sea sat to the top of the fudge mixture, before you let it set, to make salted caramel fudge. Alternatively, you could also sprinkle chopped nuts on top, such as pecans or walnuts.
- If your fudge comes out hard, there was too much chocolate. If it comes out gummy or too soft, there wasnโt enough chocolate.
