Frequently Asked Questions
Does Fudge Need To Be Refrigerated?
Aside from the chilling part of the recipe, your homemade fudge does not need to be refrigerated. In fact, it keeps best when stored at room temperature in an airtight container or freezer bag. Be sure to store away from any sources of heat or light that could cause it to soften or melt.
Can You Freeze Homemade Fudge?
Yes, you can freeze homemade fudge for long-term storage – up to 3 months or more!
To freeze fudge, cut the fudge into squares and individually wrap in plastic wrap or aluminum foil. Place each fudge square into a large freezer bag.
To thaw, just remove as many servings as you’d like from the freezer bag and allow to thaw naturally to room temperature. Microwaving will melt the fudge.
