Fruit infused water is a delicious way to stay hydrated and provide your body with extra healthy goodness. Plus it looks beautiful too!

Give your body the healing benefits of botanicals: cleansing, detox, hydration. This simple fruit and herb infused water nourishes and refreshes.

Refreshing Fruit Infused Water (3 Ways)

Hot weather is a constant here in Houston, Texas. Our summer essentially lasts from April to September, with the peak of the season topping 100 degrees for days or even weeks at a time. I don’t know if I’ll ever quite get used to the heat and humidity here on the Golf Coast!

During the hot season, adequate hydration is SO important. Dehydration can cause a whole host of health issues — in fact, on days when I feel like I’m dragging, I usually realize that I haven’t drank enough water.

This summer we got into the habit of making fruit infused water to make sure we remember to drink enough. We already love water, but there’s something about these vibrant and tasty recipes that makes it even more enticing and refreshing!

We nicknamed our fruit infused water recipes “Vitamin Water,” because they are infused with a variety of vitamin rich fruit and vegetables — I’ve actually included our three favorite recipes here so you’re sure to find something your taste buds love.

You might have seen recipes for detox water, spa water, etc. on the web and Pinterest — this is essentially the same thing with our own nickname. As you’ll see from some of the potential health benefits I’ve listed below, vitamin water may indeed have some detoxing properties.

This is also a fun recipe that the kids can help make. My girls love choosing their own fruit and veggie mixtures to add to the pitchers. Your kids might also like to create their own special blends!

How to Make Fruit Infused Water

Combine your chosen fruits, veggies, and/or herbs in a large mason jar. Fill the rest of the way with water and ice (if desired).

Seal your jar tightly with a lid. Shake for about 1 minute to release the flavors.

TIP: Shake gently, as to not bruise the fruit or break it up entirely. This will keep your water from turning into a pulpy mess.

Chill for at least 1 hour to infuse refreshing flavors before enjoying.

Store your detox water in the refrigerator for up to three days.

TIP: Make a double batch! Add all the ingredients from the three recipes listed above to a large pitcher, stir briskly, then keep chilled in the fridge.
