Christmas Popcorn Crunch

Holiday snack time, but make it merry! This sweet-and-salty Christmas snack mix is a crunchy crowd-pleaser with popcorn, pretzels, and holiday M&M’s all tossed in creamy white chocolate. It comes together in minutes, no oven needed, so it’s perfect for the hectic holiday season when you still want something festive and fun…and fast!

The kids and I love special popcorn like this for holiday parties, movie nights, cookie swaps, and party snack boards. It also makes a thoughtful homemade gift: scoop into cellophane bags or mason jars, add a ribbon, and you’ve got cheerful treat bags that are ready to share. It travels well and stays crunchy, so it’s great for teacher gifts or neighbor drop-offs, too.

Prep Tips

  • White Chocolate – White chocolate melting wafers are formulated to melt easily and smoothly, so that is our go-to choice for homemade candy making. White candy melts will also work here, though they are not technically chocolate.
  • Variations – Customize it to fit your crew: swap in peanuts or pecans, add crushed candy canes for peppermint sparkle, or sprinkle on red and green jimmies. Use gluten-free pretzels if needed, or try tossing in some mini marshmallows for extra chewy bites. You could even swap out the white chocolate for melted Andes mints, to get the flavors of the season. However you mix it, this easy recipe brings big holiday flavor with almost zero effort!
  • Storage – This Christmas popcorn snack mix stays fresh for up to a week when stored properly! Keep in an airtight container at room temperature once the chocolate has hardened. I recommend storing it in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight or heat, to prevent the chocolate from melting and the popcorn from softening. This popcorn mixture also makes a great make-ahead gift, as you can package it in cellophane bags or tins and it’ll keep its crunch for days!

How To Gift Holiday Popcorn

This Christmas crunch snack mix makes such a fun and affordable homemade gift! I personally LOVE to give and receive food – it’s my favorite! Once the chocolate coating has set, simply portion the mix into cellophane treat bags, mason jars, or holiday tins. You can add a thoughtful finishing touch with a festive ribbon, a printable tag, or even a small ornament.

Because this snack mix can stay fresh for several days, it’s perfect for teacher gifts, neighbors, or holiday party favors. You could even make a big batch and bring it to your next cookie exchange or office celebration for a sweet surprise that everyone will love!
