Inside: Easy chocolate covered Christmas Tree Oreos make a party-perfect treat or holiday gift that kids can make!
It doesn’t get much cuter than this!!
I love to make holiday-themed treats with Oreos, because they take the work out of “baking” – (which is perfect because I’m not very talented in the kitchen).
Easy Chocolate Covered Christmas Tree Oreos
Chocolate dipped cookies are one of our favorite things to make as a family, because the girls can help from start to finish. For Halloween we made chocolate dipped peanut butter crackers decorated with spiderwebs and for Valentine’s Day we made chocolate dipped “Conversation Heart” marshmallows.
So of course for Christmas we are going to make a cute chocolate dipped dessert to share with our family and friends!

How to Make Chocolate Covered Christmas Oreos
Line a cookie sheet with a silicone baking mat or parchment paper. (We love these nonstick mats because they’re reusable, easy to wash, and baked goods pop right off!)
Use a double boiler to melt the white chocolate wafers. (You can also melt in a microwave-safe bowl). Stir regularly.
Once the white chocolate is melted, mix in the peppermint extract. Remove from heat.
Dip each Oreo cookie in the melted white chocolate and flip to coat completely. If you’re handy with chopsticks, they work great for this step! You can also use a fork.
Allow excess chocolate to drip back into the bowl before placing each cookie on the silicon mat to dry.
Repeat until each cookie is coated in white chocolate.
To decorate:
Use green writing icing to pipe lines to make a Christmas tree on the top of each cookie. Use brown icing to make the tree stump and red icing to make ornaments. While icing is still wet, press a yellow star sprinkle atop the tree.
You can also use melting chocolate in the same colors (as opposed to writing icing).
Get creative! Feel free to decorate some of the cookies in your own unique style – draw ornaments, stars, and more!
Allow cookies and decorations to fully set before serving.
