“Slutty Brownies” are the ultimate mashup of Oreos, chocolate chip cookie dough and brownies, with layers of textures and flavors in every decadent bite!
“Slutty Brownies”
If I could dream up the perfect dessert, this would be it.
Cookies or brownies? It’s always such a tough decision when a chocolate craving hits! I kind of wish that you could put them together into one big ball of ooey-gooey, chewy, fudge-y ball of goodness! The messier the better!
This isn’t your average brownie – it’s a dessert masterpiece. Here’s what awaits you in each amazing bite:
- The Base: A chewy, chocolate chip cookie layer forms the foundation, packed with melty chocolate chips in every bite.
- The Middle: A decadent layer of Oreo cookies separates the dough from the brownie layer, adding a delightful contrast – the Oreo layer provides a satisfying little bit of crunch against the soft cookie dough. That iconic Oreo cream adds a touch of sweetness and vanilla to the mix.
- The Topping: Rich, fudgy brownies finish it all off, their dense chocolate flavor the perfect complement to the other layers. Oh, and a few more Oreo cookies on top for good measure!
If you’ve only heard the name, but never tried them before, you’re probably wondering “why are they called slutty brownies?”
I know I did!!
Basically, these brownies are so over-the-top that you feel like you’re being naughty eating them. And they’re pretty easy to make! Easy and naughty…supposedly that’s the legend behind the name “slutty brownies.”
There are many variations on the basic recipe (can you even call these crazy things basic?!), including slutty brownies with peanut butter cups — which I’m definitely going to try next!

Ingredients
There are two ways to make slutty brownies:
the easy way and the from-scratch method. Both are fabulous, so it really just depends on how much time you want to spend mixing things or if you want to brag on your baking prowess!
For the Easy 3-Ingredient Slutty Brownies Recipe:
- Chocolate chip cookie dough
- OREO cookies
- Boxed brownie mix
Since easy is a big part of the appeal of slutty brownies (aside from the fact that they are super dang delicious), I’ll focus on the shortcut recipe first.
I’ll put the slutty brownie recipe from scratch in the printable recipe card near the bottom of the post if you’d like to try our homemade cookie dough and brownie layers. I think it takes our brownies to the next level!
Kitchen Supplies Used:
- Non-slip mixing bowl
- Electric mixer
- 9×9″ baking pan (This one comes with a handy lid!)
- Parchment paper
Instructions
The beauty of this recipe is that it is crazy easy, but tastes unbelievably decadent! The key is the layers…so many layers of deliciousness!
To Prep: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and prepare a 9″ square baking dish with non-stick spray or line the bottom of pan with parchment paper.
- Place the chocolate chip cookie dough in the bottom of your prepared pan and press gently to spread out the dough in an even layer.
- Next, place OREO cookies on top of the cookie dough, so that they are touching and you fill up as much space as possible. We fit 16 cookies in our layer of Oreos.
- Whip up a box of brownie batter according to the directions on the package. Scoop the brownie batter on top of your cookie layer and spread gently. Scatter crushed OREOs on top and press them slightly into the batter.
- Bake according to package directions for the brownies — this will likely be between 35-45 minutes. However, you’ll want to keep a close eye on them starting at around 30 minutes. You’ll know the brownies are done when a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.

Prep Tips
- Serving – Remove from heat and allow brownies to cool completely before slicing and serving. Letting the brownies cool keeps the layers together. However, if you can’t wait, it won’t really hurt anything to cut into them while they’re still warm. These brownies are a decadent dessert all on their own, but they are incredible when topped with a scoop of vanilla ice cream and chocolate syrup!
- Storage – Brownies don’t need to be refrigerated. Simply cover leftovers or keep in an airtight container at room temperature, for up to 3-4 days.
