Prep Tips

  • Dough – For this recipe you’ll want to use canned cinnamon roll dough – individual rolls, NOT the cinnamon roll dough sheets. We used an 8-count package and ended up with 5 total cinnamon rolls. Feel free to use any brand that you like!
  • Yield – The exact number of cinnamon rolls you’ll get depends upon how many rolls came in your package of dough. It also depends on whether you make shamrock (3 leaves) or 4-leaf clovers.
  • Shape – We made 4-leaf clovers, but you can also make 3 loops with your cinnamon rolls to make 3-leaf clovers, or shamrocks. Or both!
  • Decorating – We used the icing that comes inside the can of cinnamon roll dough and stirred in a couple drops of green food coloring to make green frosting. You could also add green sprinkles or St. Patrick’s Day sprinkles to jazz them up even more!
