Crown Peach Jello Shots
When we saw the new limited edition Crown Royal Peach, it was like a light bulb went off…
Jello Shots!
I know, I know…aren’t Jello shots kind of a college drink when you’re young and broke and want to make something strong and cheap and fruity? Hear me out…
Jello shots don’t have to be cheap! In fact, we made Grinch-inspired Christmas Jello Shots a couple years ago and they turned out SO cute! They’re one of our most popular recipes ever on the blog!
These Crown Peach Jello Shots are not your average Jello shot. Yes, they’re a tad strong (even if they don’t taste it!) But the peach flavor is so refreshing and the Crown makes them unique and a step above your basic vodka Jello shot. (Though you can use vodka if you prefer…more on substitutes a little bit later in the post).
Made to invoke the flavor of those famous Georgia peaches, Crown Royal Peach is a fun summer drink and works so well in this recipe! It’s totally worth a try! Note…this is not a sponsored post…just trying out something new!
Add the classic peach rings gummy candy on top and you have a treat that not only tastes great but looks pretty too! These refreshing jello shots are perfect for a tailgate, barbecue, or any special occasion.
Did I mention that you need just four ingredients?? It really doesn’t get easier than that!

How Many Jello Shots Does One Box of Jello Make?
You’ll notice that we used one 3oz box of Jello for this recipe. As written, this recipe makes about 14-15 shots, if using 2oz cups.
If you’re making them for a crowd, you can easily double or triple the recipe amounts as needed.
Can I Use Another Liquor?
If whiskey is not your thing or if you’re having trouble finding Crown Peach, you might be wondering if you can use an alternative.
The answer is absolutely!
Other options that would taste fantastic include peach vodka or peach rum, such as Malibu Peach.
If all you have is regular Crown Royal, I would recommend looking for Crown Peach specifically, or using one of the peach flavored alternatives. Plain Crown might give the Jello a very strong taste, which is not usually the goal with fruity Jello shots.
Does the Alcohol Cook Off in Jello Shots?
You probably guessed it, but nope, the alcohol does not cook off in this case. A little bit may evaporate when added to the boiling water, as you cook a couple minutes to dissolve the gelatin. However, that amount is negligible.
These are definitely a grown-up treat and pretty boozy!
How to Make Peach Jello Shots
Bring 1 cup of water to a boil in a medium saucepan.
Once boiling, add the packet of peach gelatin and 1 cup of Crown Royal Peach whiskey.
Stir or whisk well to combine and until all of the gelatin is dissolved.
Remove from heat and allow the liquid to cool enough to handle, especially since you’ll be using plastic cups.
Once the gelatin is just warm (and still liquid), pour into your condiment cups and place in the fridge to set.
When the Jello is mostly set, add a peach ring gummy candy to the top of each shot. You want the gelatin to be firm enough that the candy won’t sink to the bottom.
You can also just wait until the gelatin is completely set and add the peach rings before serving, if you don’t want to keep checking them in the fridge.
Why Are My Jello Shots Not Setting?
One of the issues you may run into when making Jello shots is consistency variations. This usually happens when the recipe is not followed exactly, for example, by adding extra liquor to make them stronger.
If the ratio of booze to water is off, the gelatin may not set up properly, resulting in shots that are runny. There’s no real way to fix this…you’d have to make another batch.
Jello shots are deceptively boozy — they taste good so it seems like they must me “weak.” Just trust me on this and stick to the recipe…you don’t need to add any extra Crown.
Oh, and of course, enjoy responsibly! Jello shots should be regarded in the same way as a regular cocktail.

Crown Royal Peach is my favorite but it’s very hard to find!
if you lived in coos county youd be able to find it
Switch the water out for simply peach juice and it makes these Jell-O shots even better !! These are my go to Jell-O shots everyone loves them can’t go wrong and if you can’t find crown royal peach I’ve used Jack Daniels peach equally as tasty !
Thank you for the tip! Will try juice next time!
Is it 3oz box of jello or 0.3 oz? Most normal jello boxes are 0.3
It should be a 3.0 ounce box of flavored gelatin.
Don’t add the booze until the water and jello have cooled or the alcohol will evaporate.
