Keto Nacho Recipe
After thoroughly enjoying the holidays (and all of the holiday food too), my husband and I decided to go keto this year.
Our original goal was to try it for a month — but we felt so good and the results were awesome so we’ve stuck with it ever since!
One of the things that seemed intimidating before we started keto is the thought that you have to give up all of your favorite foods. However, that’s not true at all!
With a few simple substitutions and a little creativity, you can enjoy just about any kind of food and still stay on track with a keto diet.
Mexican food is a staple in our house, so my husband and I whipped up some keto nachos this week.
Oh. My. Gosh.
They were even better than I expected!
I’m not usually the one who cooks (my husband is the chef in our family), but I made the first batch of keto nachos myself. They’re super easy and only take about 10-15 minutes!
Keto Nachos Ingredients
First, let’s talk about the ingredients. When you eat keto, you pay a lot more attention to what goes into your food — the quality of ingredients matters!

The Cheese: Shred Your Own
Instead of purchasing pre-shredded cheese, we purchased blocks from the cheese department at our grocer and then shredded it ourselves when making our keto nachos.
Many pre-packaged shredded cheese varieties contain additives, like potato starch, which are not keto-friendly.
If you buy 100% real cheese and shred it yourself, your keto nachos will taste better and you’ll know for sure that they truly are low carb.

I love this keto nachos recipe because it is just as easy as making regular nachos! The keto chips only take about 10 minutes to make, and then you layer with your favorite toppings.
The size of your keto nacho chips depends on how crispy you like them:
- For softer chips, use more cheese (make them larger)
- For crispier chips, use less cheese (make them smaller)
We used about a Tablespoon of cheese for our chips, so they were deliciously crispy around the edge, but not overdone.
We baked 8 chips per tray, more than enough for a full serving at a time.
For our additional toppings we used:
- Diced tomatoes
- Pickled jalapeños
- Avocado crema (click for recipe)
- A little extra cheese

These easy keto nachos are a delicious low carb appetizer or lunch idea that's fresh, flavorful, and ready in about 10 minutes!
- 1 cup Oven Roasted Turkey Breast from Prime Fresh Delicatessen chopped
- 1 cup Cheddar cheese shredded
- 1 cup White cheddar cheese shredded
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese shredded
Preheat oven to 350°F and prepare a baking sheet with non-stick spray or a silicone baking mat.
Combine shredded cheeses in a large mixing bowl.
Place about 1 Tablespoon of cheese in a pile on baking sheet, as you would cookie dough. Fill baking sheet, leaving about 1 1/2 inches of space between cheese piles.
Bake for 6-10 minutes, watching closely. Chips are done when the edges turn a golden brown (they will harden up a bit more as they cool).
Top your keto nacho chips with chopped Prime Fresh turkey breast and your favorite nachos fixings.
