What size craft sticks should I use?

We used the jumbo size craft sticks, because they are usually thinner and easier to cut with scissors.

If using standard popsicle sticks (like the size you’d actually find inside a popsicle), they may be harder to cut when making the tree ornament. However, size-wise they should still work just fine.

The smaller popsicle sticks work great for the star since there is no trimming needed, and the larger size also work well.

If needed, apply a second coat of paint.

Cover all craft sticks with a top coat of glitter glue or clear glitter paint. Allow to dry completely.

If using a wooden star, paint it yellow too. If you’re using card stock, craft foam, etc. you won’t need paint the star.
